Plenity instructions for use is to take 3 Plenity capsules with water, 20 minutes before your lunch or dinner. According to the manufacturer, it’s important that you drink 16 oz of water (2 big glasses) for the capsules to work.
Another tip is to use the 20 minutes you’ve got before eating to plan what you’ll have for the meal and “eat mindfully.” Setting the intention to be present while eating your food can further contribute to consuming fewer calories.
Does Plenity break a fast? It does not! The only 2 ingredients in Plenity are cellulose and citric acid, neither of which have any nutritional value, and by consequence, they won’t break your fast.

Plenity label information reveals there’s only 2 natural ingredients in the product. If Plenity is as effective as its competitors, than having just 2 ingredients is pretty impressive.
The ingredients are cellulose and citric acid. They’re meant to work together as a “three-dimensional matrix” which is designed to swell in your stomach and small intestines to promote fullness and satiety.
The whole idea behind Plenity’s ingredients is to reduce hunger to an extent that you’ll eat smaller portions without cravings. The result? Potentially quicker fat loss.
There are a few slight downsides to Plenity’s ingredient profile except for its lack of more ingredients. Mainly, this includes the use of a proprietary blend, which means you can’t see the doses of cellulose and citric acid which are found in it – you can only see their combined dosage.

Does Plenity make you poop? Does Plenity cause diarrhea? These are some of the more common side effects of using a fiber-containing supplement like Plenity. If you have a sensitive stomach, then you may experience the aforementioned gastrointestinal side effects from using Plenity, along with constipation and nausea.
Studies done on Plenity show that it can also increase issues like bloating, gas, and stomach pain. However, these side effects are often mild and transient.

The only issues we had is mainly, the price. Compared to other fat loss aids on sale, the cost is incredibly steep and may deter many people who simply can’t fit it into their budget. Secondly, you can only get Plenity if you meet their guidelines – e.g. if you’re obese or within their BMI metrics. It’s also quite a tedious process, having to arrange online consultation and use a prescription to buy it. Some people will just want the freedom to try out a new fat burner without all the headaches.
Since Plenity is FDA-cleared, it does make it stand out from the crowd. It feels more official and clinically proven than your run-of-the-mill weight loss supplement. But you should be aware that, while they have had this backing, Plenity doesn’t qualify as actual medication. It’s still just a weight management pill like others, but more targeted towards people who struggle to control their hunger and cravings.
From our experience, we do think Plenity’s formula could’ve included more proven ingredients for the price they’re charging, which would make it more effective and better value for money overall.
