Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black Review – Does it Work? (updated)

Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black Review

Here’s our recently Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black Review. You’ll see people all over the web promoting turmeric as a powerful anti-inflammatory supplement. But Sculpt Nation’s Turmeric Black – which is sold in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and other countries – can also help you burn fat, according to the manufacturer.

This is an interesting claim. The spice is obviously very healthy for us. We’ve seen the studies. But Turmeric as a fat-burning agent?

The main selling point of Turmeric Black is in its name – it uses a different variety of turmeric that is supposedly more effective when it comes to burning fat. But how true are these claims?

We’ll let you know right away; we’re slightly disappointed by the results from this supplement, considering the hype created by Sculpt Nation. This is on top of fact that Turmeric Black costs $49, which is quite expensive for turmeric only.

Let’s see what this product can and can’t do for you before you decide to buy it.

*We know not everyone likes long reviews, so to make it easy for you, here’s a simple summary first.

Sculpt Nation Turmeric Review At a Glance

Turmeric is a well-studied health spice, just don’t let anyone tell you you’ll be shredding fat with it.

Yes, it does use a different type of turmeric, but here’s the kicker: apart from their appearance, they aren’t that much different! In fact, the effects of black turmeric and regular turmeric are similar since they share the same main active ingredient – curcumin. If anything, black turmeric could be a worse ingredient choice than regular turmeric because of the fact that there aren’t as many studies done on the black variant.

While it does reduce inflammation (potently at that) and offers a plethora of other health benefits, turmeric hasn’t been shown to make you burn fat to the degree where you’d see pounds coming off the scale.

If you’re serious about losing weight, we recommend doing more research to find fat burners that offer more proven ingredients, and better value for money overall, as turmeric itself can be found for a cheaper price.

Pros

  • Turmeric is excellent for joint health, gut health, and mood problems.
  • Bioperine helps enhance turmeric’s digestion in your body.

Cons

  • Turmeric doesn’t burn fat to an extent where you’d notice it.
  • Incomplete formula missing an appetite suppressant and thermogenic, among others.
  • Too expensive for just turmeric and black pepper
  • Poor serving schedule – even if it worked for weight loss, this supplement is taken only once per day, which limits its effects between doses.

How Does Sculpt Nation Turmeric Work?

Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black says it works by reducing inflammation in the body.

This makes sense, as turmeric is well-known for helping to relieve conditions as arthritis and joint stiffness.

However, what’s intriguing about this particular supplement is that its claimed to burn fat. It does this by improving insulin sensitivity, increasing the body’s efficiency at utilizing fat cells for energy instead of glucose, and a lot more.

But can it really do all of this? And what about appetite suppression? Is there anything in Sculpt Nation Turmeric that will help you stop those annoying cravings?

We’re about to find out!

What is in Sculpt Nation Turmeric BLACK?

Each serving (2 capsules) supplies you with the following ingredients:

    • Turmeric Root
    • Turmeric Root Extract (95% Curcuminoids)
    • Black Pepper Root (BioPerine)

All of these ingredients are a part of a Sculpt Nation’s Proprietary Blend, which means you can’t see their individual doses, you can only see their combined dose which is 1.32g.

In this case, this isn’t such a big deal as we know the blend only has 3 ingredients, and we know that most of that is turmeric since you only need very little black pepper for absorption enhancement.

However, we recommend staying away from other supplements with proprietary blends in general, because if they have many ingredients in these blends, you won’t be able to tell if they’re dosed high enough (or too high perhaps), so they could potentially be ineffective or harmful without you knowing.

Back to Sculpt Nation Turmeric though. Does it work for fat loss? Well, let’s check what the science says about its ingredients:

    Turmeric

Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory spice. It’s traditionally used in India’s Ayurvedic Medicine to help with different conditions, ranging from:

    • Acne
    • Gut health
    • Digestion

    All the way to:

    • Neurodegenerative conditions
    • Dementia
    • Depression
    • Anti-cancer

Most of these benefits come from one of Turmeric’s active compounds, called ‘curcumin’. It’s curcumin that has potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects that Sculpt Nation Turmeric’s makers say will help you lose weight?

The claim that by reducing inflammation levels in the body, it will be easier to lose weight and ultimately achieve a healthier and fitter body.

But can turmeric really do all of this? The answer is, not to a significant extent. Yes, inflammation is linked to a whole slew of health problems, including weight gain.

But, you’ll need a lot more than just turmeric to notice changes in the mirror. If turmeric alone was so powerful, then people who eat it every day would all be thin and healthy. Of course, that’s not the case.

So, while turmeric is a beneficial compound, and while you should certainly strive to incorporate more of it into your menu if your goal is optimal health, you’ll need additional ingredients in your fat burning arsenal to achieve any kind of serious progress.

    Black Pepper Bioperine

Black pepper contains an active ingredient Piperine which has been shown to boost absorption in our body.

In other words, it makes turmeric in this product more readily bioavailable – so you can absorb more of it.

In some cases, piperine has been found to increase the absorption of the active compounds in turmeric by as much as 2,000%.

This is a great ingredient overall. Just don’t expect your weight to be falling off magically from consuming black pepper and turmeric alone! Anyone who promises this is lying to you, and just trying to sell a product.

Our Thoughts on the Ingredient Profile

Sculpt Nation Turmeric’s formula is good. We would have no complaints about it if the manufacturers didn’t claim that it helps you burn fat.

While turmeric+black pepper is a great combo for general health, they don’t work for weight loss, at least not to an extent where you’d see it in the mirror.

If the goal is weight loss, then this supplement should include better ingredients – like cayenne pepper, green tea extract, and glucomannan for appetite suppression.

How to Take Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black

Dosage directions for Sculpt Nation Turmeric are 2 capsules once per day. Ideally, you’ll want to take it with a meal as turmeric absorbs better in fat. Still, taking a fat burner only once per day is not that effective.

When you’re taking a fat burner, you’ll want to have 3-4 servings spread evenly throughout the day. This ensures the ingredients stay in your system, prolonging the beneficial effects.

Does Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black Have Side Effects?

No if you’re healthy. Sculpt Nation’s Turmeric consists of only BioPerine and Turmeric extract, both of which are well-studied and have been used traditionally for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

Obviously, you’ll be taking higher doses than what’s found in food, but it’s still shown to be safe for healthy people.

If you aren’t healthy, or take any kind of medication that thins your blood, make sure to talk with a qualified professional before taking this product as Turmeric can actually cause issues in this case.

Sculpt Nation Turmeric Before and After Results

What do other Sculpt Nation Turmeric reviews say? Well, not much!

Apart from other review websites and an odd Reddit testimonial, it’s lacking legit reviews from other users. Most of it is either sponsored or from competitor’s making it appear worse than it is.

We don’t like to rely on other people’s “before and after” results anyways, as you can never really tell if they’re manipulated or not.

Where to Buy Sculpt Nation Turmeric?

Sculpt Nation Turmeric can currently only be bought on the official website. It’s not available on Amazon or any other 3rd party seller. Though you might come across a stolen bottle being sold there, which we don’t recommend buying.

The price is a bummer though. It costs $49-$67 depending on the discounts. That’s too much for just turmeric and black pepper. For this kind of price, you can achieve much better results with other fat burners.

Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black Review Summary

So that wraps up our Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black review.

It’s a disappointing product in the sense that it doesn’t burn fat. If that’s what you’re after, you’ll want to look for other options.

But if you’re just looking to benefit from turmeric’s anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects, then it could be a solid investment. Although, we’re pretty sure that better quality turmeric can be found for this kind of price.

    1. I heard a scientific explain brown fat burns more calories at the supercharged rate, and active brown fat can burn white fat stored in the body – possibly helping you lose weight. Thank you

    2. I think the main claim with this supplement versus others with seemingly similar ingredients is that it supposedly contains a particular species of turmeric, black turmeric. All others I’ve found, no matter the formulation, only use yellow turmeric which is the common less expensive variety. The synergies in fat burning come from this particular black tumeric with the other ingredients is the claim. In order for this review to be complete and not just generalized and cursery, this is the claim that needs to be explored and investigated. Otherwise, this should not be a review of Sculpt Nations’s product but rather a generic overview of the dozens of others using the common yellow turmeric instead

      • Your comment suggests a massive difference between turmeric and turmeric black, which is not the case, according to the available evidence. The difference is in their appearance and some minor properties. At best, black turmeric might have slightly higher levels of curcumin than regular turmeric. The effects and benefits are similar, if not identical.

As a result, the same conclusion stands: Sculpt Nation Turmeric Black is a no special supplement. You fell for their marketing. It just goes to show we need to be careful when reading through the marketing material before hastily jumping to conclusions.
