SkinnyFit Skinny Greens Review – Does it Really Work? (Updated)

SkinnyFit Skinny Greens Review

Here we have our recently updated SkinnyFit Skinny Greens review.

Greens powders are becoming increasingly popular these days, and for good reason. Getting the recommended amounts of essential nutrients from our foods has become an impossible task for most people. We’re always in a hurry, and our soils are being depleted of nutrients that are essential for our health.

A greens powder provides an important foundation of essential nutrients that support your immune system, nourish your energy, reduce sugar cravings, and help you thrive in your everyday life. As such, a greens powder can be a convenient way of reaping the benefits of healthy nutrition – however, can it help you burn fat?

This is exactly what Skinny Greens promises to help you achieve.

An all-natural powder, Skinny Greens claims to give your body a complete nutritional boost whilst nudging your metabolism to burn more calories throughout the day. Today we’ll inspect these claims to see whether Skinny Greens can really help you lose weight, have more energy, and provide other benefits that are common with high-quality greens powders.

We’ll also take a look at whether Skinny Greens can give you the same results as tried and tested fat burner supplements, such as the top 3 fat burners for women and top 5 fat burners overall.

About Skinny Greens Powder

SkinnyFit Skinny Greens is a blend of 34 ‘superfoods,’ stress-reducing adaptogen herbs, and gut health nutrients that your body needs on a daily basis.

Each jar contains 30 servings and you’re meant to take 1 serving (scoop) per day.

Skinny Greens is marketed as a ‘juicing made easy’ type of supplement. If you’re someone who doesn’t have time to always blend or juice your daily fruits and veggies, than this could be a convenient choice.

What exactly does Skinny Greens do for you? The manufacturers say it will:

  • Promote healthy weight – curb cravings, boost metabolism
  • Boost natural energy – more focus, improved well-being, healthier relationships
  • Reduced bloating – fights gut inflammation, stops free radicals from doing cellular damage
  • Supports a healthy gut – prebiotic and probitoic support for a diverse gut flora.

These are some big promises! But is SkinnyFit Skinny Greens legit? How will it work for you? Are the ingredients clinically studied and safe? Do they reflect the manufacturer’s claims?

We start with a summary, after which you can read our in-depth analysis of each ingredient in Skinny Greens.

SkinnyFit Skinny Greens review summary:

  • Skinny Greens is a natural product that uses some of the best ingredients for immunity, energy, and gut health. However, their amounts aren’t shown. The lack of transparency prevents us from seeing if the doses are safe and effective.
  • As far as weight loss goes, Skinny Greens has two proven ingredients – green tea and Glucomannan for appetite suppression – the rest don’t work. It’s missing core ingredients that would make it more effective, including cayenne seed extract, chromium, and B vitamins among others. Considering it costs $79, Skinny Greens needs to improve upon some of these areas before we can recommend it as one of the very best supplements for weight loss.

What do we recommend?

Taste and Mixability

SkinnyFit Skinny Greens is currently only available in one flavor: Green Apple. It mixes well, both in a shaker bottle and with a spoon.

Does Skinny Greens taste good? In our experience, it does! The taste is not overly intense or artificial thanks to the natural flavors in Skinny Greens.

We always recommend avoiding sucralose and other artificial sweeteners and these have been shown to disrupt gut health.

How to Use Skinny Greens

Directions for using SkinnyFit Skinny Greens are to measure out 1 scoop and mix it in 8-16 oz. of water or a smoothie, depending on the desired level of sweetness.

Skinny Greens is meant to be drunk no more than once daily.

As far as fat burners go, this is not the best way of dosing. The best fat burners typically come as capsules since it’s easier to dose important ingredients precisely.

A high-quality fat burner is also formulated to be taken 3-4 times per day to keep your body in a fat-burning mode. Only 1 daily serving is not enough to maintain the effects between the doses.

Skinny Greens and apple cider vinegar – can you use them together?

Yes, you can take Skinny Greens and Apple Cider Vinegar together. Apple Cider Vinegar is a traditional folk remedy that’s been used for thousands of years. Just make sure to follow the dosage recommendations and don’t take more ACV than your stomach can handle!

Skinny Fit Skinny Greens Nutrition Facts

Skinny Fit Skinny Greens nutrition label shows 20 calories per serving (1 scoop).

There are no sugar or carbs in Skinny Greens, which makes it a keto-friendly drink.

Skinny Fit Skinny Greens: The Ingredients

Does Skinny Greens have caffeine or collagen? The answer is no!

SkinnyFit Skinny Greens consists of the following ingredient blends:

  • Wholesome Superfood Blend (3405mg) – Lemon Juice Powder, Organic Chlorella Powder, Organic Spirulina (whole plant), Spinach Leaf Powder, Organic Wheat Grass Powder, Organic Matcha (leaves), Alfalfa Powder (aerial parts), Organic Moringa Leaf Powder, Artichoke Extract (leaves).
  • Probiotic Blend (2530mg, 500 million CFU): Acacia Fiber (sap), Bromelain, Digestive Enzyme Blend: Amylase, Lactase, Cellulase, Protease, Lipase, Bifidobacterium lactis, B. breve, B. longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, L. plantarum, L. paracasei, L. salivarius, L. rhamnosus, L. bulgaricus.
  • Mood-Boosting Adaptogen Blend (670mg) –  Coconut Water Powder, Turmeric Root Extract, Ashwagandha Root Powder, American Ginseng Root Extract, Rhodiola Root Powder.
  • Waist-Slimming Blend (320mg) – Glucomannan (root), Green Tea Leaf Extract, Apple Cider Vinegar.”

These blends show you the combined amount of ingredients in them. They don’t show you the dose of each individual ingredient. This makes it impossible to tell how effectively and safely dosed these ingredients are.

Here’s a closer breakdown of each blend and its ingredients.

1. Wholesome Superfood Blend

This is the first of 4 blends in Skinny Greens. It’s formulated to support all functions of your body with basic essential nutrients that come from different plants.

It consists of ingredients such as:

  • Lemon Juice Powder
  • Organic Chlorella Powder
  • Spirulina
  • Spinach Leaf Powder
  • Wheat Grass Powder
  • Matcha Leaves
  • Alfalfa Powder
  • Moringa Leaf Powder
  • Artichoke Leaf Extract

Lemon Juice is commonly known for its ability to stimulate digestion and support healthy stomach acid. It’s also used as a folk remedy for reducing the formation of kidney stones. However, when it comes to lemon juice powder, we’re lacking studies that would show it’s as effective as real lemon juice.

Chlorella is a heavy metal chelator and not the smartest choice unless your physician specifically told you to take it.

Spirulina, on the other hand, provides a wide range of nutrients that are amazing for your body – from trace minerals to vitamins that will support your hormones.

Other ingredients in this blend, such as Artichoke Leaf, help support your liver function – but only in the right doses. We don’t know how much is in SkinnyFit Skinny Greens.

2. Gut-Renewing Probiotic Blend

Don’t let the name fool you; this blend isn’t just probiotics. It’s also packed with digestive enzymes such as Amylase and Bromelain which help you break down food more efficiently.

As far as probiotics go, we have 500 million CFU per serving. But this number is the number of bacteria at the time of manufacturing. Between then and now, a lot bacteria die, as shown in a number of clinical studies.

Even more bacteria die in the acidic environment of your digestive tract, which means only a fraction of the species (if any) end up alive in your gut.

This is why we tend to suggest avoiding probiotic supplements, and instead focusing on pre-biotics, which are food for good bacteria that are already in your gut. Prebiotics help increase the number and strength of the helpful bacteria species in your microbiome.

Although Skinny Greens is missing some of the most effective prebiotics (such as Inulin-FOS fiber), it does have some Acacia Fiber which can help somewhat.

3. Mood-Boosting Adaptogen Blend

This consists of coconut water powder, which hydrates and nourishes your body, turmeric for inflammation, and adaptogenic herbs Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, and American Ginseng.

Your mood will be affected by some of these herbs. Ashwagandha for example, is known to reduce cortisol levels. Rhodiola helps optimize the mitochondrial cells for energy, and American Ginseng may be helpful for libido.

Overall, this is a good choice of ingredients. It’s a shame we can’t see their doses in the blend. Why is this important? Because, ingredients like Ashwagandha Ashwagandha need to be taken at doses of at least 250mg daily to get its full benefits.

4. Waist-Slimming Blend

Here we come to the main ‘skinny’ blend that is supposed to help you get ‘skinny and fit’.

So, what does it contain? Let’s break down each ingredient.

  • Glucomannan – Amazing choice, this is a form of fiber that swells in your stomach leaving you full for hours, and reduces food cravings. This is one of our favorite natural appetite suppressants in fat burners.
  • Green Tea Leaf Extract – Green Tea Leaf is another great ingredient that can boost up your metabolic rate to burn more calories.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar Powder – ACV is a common folk remedy for stabilizing blood sugar levels, which helps to prevent post-meal sluggishness and weight gain. However, the powder doesn’t seem to be as effective as an actual Apple Cider Vinegar drink, and studies are lacking.

The ingredients themselves are great. It’s the lack of other proven fat burners that bugs us here.

SkinnyFit Skinny Greens is missing some of the most effective natural thermogenic and appetite suppressants on the market including:

  • Caffeine
  • Cayenne Pepper Extract
  • GTF-Chromium
  • Theacrine

If it included these, and in amounts that are optimal (and shown on the label!), it would be a killer blend for reducing body weight.

Our Thoughts on the Ingredient Profile

Overall, the ingredient choice in Skinny Fit Skinny Greens is good. Most of them are designed to support your body’s overall function, immunity, and digestion.

However, it has two issues: a proprietary blend and a lack of more proven ingredients in the ‘waist slimming blend’. The first issue prevents us from telling if the ingredients are effectively dosed, and the second means Skinny Greens is unlikely to get you slimmer because it’s lacking potency.

If you’re looking for an overall health and immunity support, though, you will be getting many of the world’s healthiest plants – in that sense, it’s a solid choice!

The Five of the Best Fat Burners of 2024

Customer Reviews

Skinny Fit Skinny Greens reviews can be found on Amazon, SkinnyFit official website and other places online.

The testimonials on SkinnyFit’s website are all 4- and 5-star ratings, but obviously, SkinnyFit’s employees are moderating this, so we’ll look elswhere for a more accurate picture.

Out of over 1660 ratings on Amazon, Skinny Greens boasts 4 out of 5 stars, which is a great rating.

One concern is that we’ve seen many Amazon users complain about getting a bottle of Skinny Greens that’s only half-full.

One user said;

“Tastes good and was planning on using this long term but when I opened the container after arrival it was half full?! For the price I expected a full container. Disappointed.

Lauren C (Amazon Customer)

Another customer complained about the use of digestive-upsetting fillers;

“My only disappointment is it has carrageenan in it , which is an indigestible seaweed to humans..you really need to take out the carrageenan and find a different thickener…I won’t order again unfortunately till it’s gone it reeks havoc on the digestive tract”

Amazon Customer

Another user, once again, complained about getting less than what they expected;

“I disliked the fact that I paid $79.00 for that tiny bottle. A bottle, which wasn’t full to the top. The bottle was half-filled. For the price, it should’ve been at least filled to the capacity. From the picture, I thought I was buying the big bottle. However, that is my fault, I should’ve read the size. It did not give me other options to choose from when ordering this product. Size selections that it. The taste isn’t bad though.”

Does Skinny Fit Skinny Greens Have Side Effects?

Does Skinny Greens make you poop? Does Skinny Greens cause diarrhea? Yes, some of these side effects are common in people who don’t take Skinny Greens properly! However, taking SkinnyFit Skinny Greens on an empty stomach is another potential way you can experience these side effects.

The main issue is the lack of transparency with the doses of the ingredients, which is why we can’t tell if you’re taking too much, which could easily lead to side effects.

Obviously, all the standard warnings apply here too. The best way to know if this supplement is right for you is by talking to your doctor. Always consult a professional if you aren’t sure!

Price and Where to Buy Skinny Greens?

Skinny Greens doesn’t offer any samples. As for discounts, you can get Skinny Greens for the price of $59.95 on a monthly subscription (25% off).

Luckily, Skinny Greens is also available at different retailers so you might be able to grab a better deal. Here are some of the common online and physical stores that sell Skinny Greens.

Amazon

Currently, Skinny Greens is available to buy on Amazon in North America.

eBay

eBay is another place where you’ll see SkinnyFit Skinny Greens being sold, although this is not the official retailer for Skinny Greens.

Skinny Greens Results – What Can You Expect?

Testimonials on SkinnyFit Skinny Greens look positive for the most part. The results customers commonly report with Skinny Greens include better digestion, more energy, and healthier skin. That being said, you won’t see that many weight loss success stories.

We had the same experience – while Skinny Greens did help us feel better mentally, it lacked ‘the kick’ that would make it more effective at boosting metabolism and burning body fat.

Skinny Greens vs Super Youth – Which is Better for Weight Loss?

Skinny Greens and Super Youth are two completely different supplements.

While Skinny Greens is formulated to support body’s immune function, energy levels, and healthy body weight, Super Youth is focused on enhancing body’s natural collagen supply for healthier skiny, nails, and hair.

While Skinny Greens is far from the best fat loss supplement, it is more effective than Super Youth in that particular segment.

Skinny Greens vs Athletic Greens

Athletic Greens is a superior choice to Skinny Greens in our eyes. It contains a more complete nutrient profile, and provides clear information on ingredient doses, whereas Skinny Greens hides all of its ingredients in a proprietary blend.

Skinny Greens Review Summary

And that, ladies and gents, brings our Skinny Greens review to a close.

So, are greens powder worth it? In our opinion, Skinny Greens isn’t worth its price tag of $80. For this amount, you can get a more transparent supplement that will show you the exact ingredient doses on the label, so you’ll at least know what you’re paying for.

Skinny Greens is not a bad supplement per se; it has some of the healthiest plants for immunity and daily function. But don’t let marketing claims fool you – it doesn’t burn fat.

The price is another major reason why we don’t rate Skinny Greens as one of the best natural options for losing weight currently.

Pros

  • Easy mixability and natural flavors
  • Good choice of essential nutrients
  • Contains some of the healthiest superfoods
  • Boosts energy, mood, and vitality

Cons

  • Ingredients are in proprietary blends hiding their doses
  • Potential for side effects (diarrhea, nausea, and headaches)
  • Only 1 flavor option
  • Lacking core thermogenics and other ingredients that would make it effective for weight loss
