Night Shred vs OxySleep - Which is Better?

Today we have this Night Shred vs OxySleep comparison.

Which one is better at improving the onset, duration, and quality of your sleep? Which one will help you burn more calories throughout the night? Which is the better appetite suppressant? [Night Shred vs OxySleep Summary]

While neither Night Shred nor OxySleep make it onto our top fat burner list, Night Shred is the winner between the two. At least when it comes to sleep support. Night Shred has more ingredients than OxySleep, and the ingredients themselves are better at promoting sleep than those in OxySleep, which only uses basic nutrients you would find in any decent multivitamin. However, as we said, neither supplement left us overly impressed. Night Shred has some major drawbacks of its own – including a proprietary blend, ineffective & unproven ingredients like GABA and CLA, and cheap form of magnesium. Despite being cheaper than OxySleep ($35.99 vs $57 per bottle), Night Shred is still far from the best weight loss supplement at this price range.

Night Shred vs OxySleep – The Overview

Night Shred

Night Shred is a night-time fat burning supplement by the U.S. Company Inno Supps. It is formulated for both men and women in mind.

It contains 60 capsules per bottle, and the serving size is 2 capsules before you go to bed. After taking it, it promises to do the work throughout the night, which includes:

  • Improving your sleep duration and quality – wake up refreshed next day
  • Enhance metabolism
  • Curb nighttime cravings

The question is, how will Inno Supps Night Shred work for you?

Before we answer that question in detail in the ingredients section, let’s have a quick look at its competitor.

OxySleep

OxySleep by EHP Labs is a stimulant-free night-time supplement that has been scientifically made using natural ingredients which have shown to improve your sleep quality, enhance training recovery, and promote fat loss and muscle growth.

Instead of capsules, OxySleep comes as powder in 3 great-tasting flavors. These include: Fuji Apple, Peached Ice Tea, and Strawberry Daiquiri.

The recommended dosage for OxySleep is 1 scoop mixed with 250ml of water before you go to bed. The manufacturer also recommends taking 2 days off after every 5 days of using OxySleep, in order to avoid building up a tolerance to the supplement.

So, how does OxySleep compare to Night Shred in terms of effectiveness and safety?

Let’s take a look at their ingredients to find out!

Night Shred vs OxySleep – The Ingredients

Night Shred’s Ingredients

Here are the ingredients in Night Shred, as shown on the label:

Inno Supps Night Shred Ingredients

Night Shred has some excellent ingredients for sleep. These include chamomile, Passionflower, Ashwagandha, 5-HTP, and Melatonin among others.

It really has nailed the “PM” part in terms of ingredient choices.

Together, the aforementioned ingredients should help you with not just sleep onset but also duration and quality. You should feel more refreshed waking up the next day.

Now, there are some issues with Night Shred’s formula, too.

For one, the “Shred” part of the formula looks slim and ineffective. There are just 3 ingredients in Night Shred that are specifically included for fat burning – CLA, L-Carnitine, and Grains of Paradise.

  • According to the research team at Examine.com, only one of these has some mild potential of improving fat loss and metabolic activity. And that is Grains of Paradise. This ingredient is similar to ginger in its bioactivities, which means it can speed up your digestion as well as improve circulation.

As for CLA and L-Carnitine, they have a lot of hype going for them, but the evidence is mixed. Even the studies that do show positive results, typically only show statistically significant improvements, but not improvements to the extent where you would notice results in the mirror or on the scale.

Then there is magnesium, which comes as oxide in Night Shred. If you already didn’t know, magnesium oxide is the least bioavailable and least absorbable form of magnesium. Not only is it ineffective for promoting sleep – or doing anything for that matter – but magnesium oxide also often causes diarrhea in people.

There is a lot missing from Night Shred to be called an effective fat burner. There’s no cayenne pepper, green tea extract, Glucomannan (Konjac root fiber), or other natural ingredients commonly seen in the the best appetite suppressants and fat burner supplements.

Lastly, Night Shred has a problem with proprietary blends. These blends don’t show you the doses of each ingredient in them. You only get to see the total dose of the blend. Which allows the manufacturer to easily manipulate cheap vs. expensive ingredient’s doses without us being able to see.

All in all, Night Shred looks like a mixed bag. If sleep improvement is what you’re specifically after, then it could be a good option. But as far as weight loss goes, we wouldn’t get our hopes too high.

OxySleep’s Ingredients

Here are OxySleep’s ingredients, as shown on its label:

OxySleep Ingredients

OxySleep looks like a fairly basic sleep/weight management supplement. It contains nutrients you would see in a multivitamin, including Niacin, Folate, Magnesium & Zinc, and Chromium.

There is nothing special in OxySleep; no herbs, no plant extracts, no specific compounds like melatonin or chilli extract to improve sleep and fat burning. But this can be a good thing, as the ingredients are all well-studied and known to be extremely safe to use long-term. So if you’re looking for a mild, reliable sleep aid, this one could be worth looking into.

OxySleep’s ingredients like folate and vitamin B6 are necessary for mood and stress management. As a result, supplementation can indirectly benefit your sleep by reducing excessive thoughts at night.

On the other hand, the only ingredient in OxySleep that can somewhat benefit weight loss is chromium – an essential trace element that helps to regulate your blood sugar levels. More balanced blood sugars result in more stable energy throughout the day, as well as fewer food cravings. Which can indirectly help you manage your weight long-term.

Unlike Night Shred, OxySleep uses completely transparent ingredient labels, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. Which we appreciate.

But OxySleep has some issues of its own. Major issues.

While it’s not using proprietary blends, it uses cheap forms of ingredients that are more likely to cause side effects than give you any benefits. The two main suspects are zinc and magnesium, which come as oxide. Oxide is the worst form of magnesium and zinc. As we’ve said above, it can lead to stomach upset and other gastrointestinal issues.

Last but not least, there is the obvious issue with the lack of ingredients in OxySleep. Apart from the basic nutrients, there is nothing in the supplement that is shown to be significantly effective at promoting weight loss or sleep. It doesn’t even have the basic melatonin!

Night Shred vs OxySleep – Side Effects

Night Shred and OxySleep are both relatively safe supplements. The risk of side effects is very low for two main reasons. The ingredients themselves in both Night Shred and OxySleep are well-studied and known to be safe. Second, the dosages seem to be on the lighter side (though we can’t see all of them in Night Shred).

Cost & Where to Buy?

Inno Supps Night Shred costs $35.99 per bottle (30 servings).

By contrast, EHP Labs OxySleep costs around $57 for 30 servings. However, it is sometimes only available in the UK, EU, and Australia; not in the United States.

In either case, we think both products are a bit overpriced. At these price ranges, you can easily find better fat burners and/or sleep supplements.

Our Verdict

That concludes our Night Shred vs OxySleep comparison. Which one do we think is better?

The answer is that neither one is good enough in our eyes. But between the two, if we had to choose, we would go with Night Shred simply due to the fact that it costs less.

However, it still costs $35.99 per bottle which is too much when compared to other professional weight loss supplements on the market. If you just want better sleep, then Night Shred could be a decent option. But we would still recommend just saving money by buying a simple melatonin and magnesium supplement, which would give you the same results.

If you are specifically looking for something to help you lose weight, then there are definitely better options on the market than either one, without a doubt.
