Phenocal vs GOLO: today we’ll be taking a look at supplements that claim to support your insulin levels, reduce appetite, and promote energy and healthy metabolism. Which one is more effective at doing its job? Which one is safer and better value for money? I begin with a short summary of my report.
[Phenocal vs GOLO SUMMARY]
Phenocal contains more ingredients, and the ingredients themselves are better chosen overall. GOLO Release uses a few ineffective ingredients when it comes to weight loss. Additionally, a big part of GOLO’s formula is hidden in a proprietary blend, which shows a lack of transparency. Considering that Phenocal costs $49.99 and GOLO $59.95, Phenocal is our winner between the two. Still, because it also uses a proprietary blend, Phenocal is not among our top-rated weight loss supplements.
What do we recommend?
Golo contains, in total, 10 active ingredients. Out of those, a few are among our favorites when it comes to burning fat and suppressing appetite.
Magnesium, zinc, and chromium are all minerals that our body uses to regulate a variety of functions, such as hormone production that directly affects your metabolism. Sadly, not all things are great with these ingredients.
Magnesium is underdosed. At 15mg per serving, it won’t have much of an effect.
The rest of GOLO Release’s formula is made up of a proprietary blend. This means that you can only see the total dose of ingredients in this blend, but not their individual dosages. As a result, we can’t tell if they are effective at all.
This is sad news because some of the ingredients in the blend are good – Rhodiola Rosea and Berberine primarily.
As a whole, GOLO Release looks unlikely to have a substantial effect. You may notice a reduction in appetite and possibly more stable energy levels but that’s as far as it goes. There are better fat-burning formulas out there, without question.
Phenocal contains a bunch of vitamins and minerals, along with a proprietary blend of different herbs and compounds such as green tea and l-tyrosine.
Some of these nutrients are well-studied and shown to help weight loss. Vitamin D is one example. It works to regulate hormones in your body that help your metabolism work efficiently. Another one is chromium, which, as we’ve seen with GOLO Release, helps regulate your blood sugar and may reduce appetite.
Unfortunately, Phenocal is following the same trend of using a proprietary blend much like GOLO Release. The blend contains ingredients like green tea leaf extract, glucomannan, and l-tyrosine, all of which are among the most effective natural ingredients for weight loss, focus, and appetite suppression. The problem is that glucomannan alone should be taken in doses between 1.5-3g per day. Phenocal’s entire proprietary blend is only 2230mg.
With that being said, I believe Phenocal is going to have superior effects in terms of fat burning and appetite suppression when compared to GOLO Release. You should also experience more energy and focus than from GOLO’s formula.
Still, compared to the leading fat burners, Phenocal lags behind, especially in the transparency department.
Cost & Where to Buy?
A bottle of GOLO Release (90 caps), which is said on their website to help you lose 10-20lbs, costs $59.95. It comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee.
A bottle of Phenocal (90 caps) costs $49.99 and it also comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee. It’s available both on its official website and on Amazon.
Overall, Phenocal is a superior supplement to GOLO Release. It contains more ingredients and it costs less. However, both products contain proprietary blends, which means they’re not as transparent (and likely won’t be as effective) as other diet pills on the market today.
